Built Wudang Mountain at a large scale

Emperor Yongle followed Zhang-Sanfeng's strategy of "Building Wudang Mountain at a large scale and ruling the country with the help of gods". It was the high time to make Wudang Mountain prosperous, so Zhang-Sanfeng told Sun-Biyun to draw a set of pictures of Wudang Taoist palaces and temples, which was offered to Emperor Yongle at a proper time. Found that the pictures were grand and magnificent, the palaces and temples proper in locations, all just like a large park of real mountains and waters, Zhu-Li felt very happy. But he had one thing puzzled, "Why must we build Taoist palaces and temples in Wudang Mountain, not any mountain else?"
Sun-Biyun pointed to the pictures and explained, "My tutor Zhang-Sanfeng is good at chronometer and geography. He said to me that Wudang Mountain, linking sky hinge and earth axis, is the best place to build palaces for Emperor Xuan. Linking shy hinge and earth axis, so Wudang Mountain can control the whole country. The Song and Yuan dynasties all built palaces for Emperor Xuan in Wudang Mountain as royal ancestral temple, with the purpose to control the frontiers and pacify the country." Zhu-Li was convinced by Sun's explanation, so he offered an important position in government to be in charge of China Taoism. Then he set orders to send three hundred thousand folk and soldiers to build Wudang Mountain according to the pictures devised by Zhang-Sanfeng.
In the pictures devised by Zhang-Sanfeng, there was no Meeting God Palace, so Emperor Yongle changed Xuantian Palace near Meeting Gods Temple into Meeting God Palace, and then changed the hall to worship Emperor Xuan into Real God Hall to worship Zhang-Sanfeng. Here was a palace for Zhang-Sanfeng, so Dragon and Tiger Hall and Parents' Hall were omitted. There is a big yard inside the mountain gate, for the students of Zhang to exercise boxing. Behind the yard, there are Worshipping Hall, Grand Hall with a copper statue of Zhang-Sanfeng worshipped on the shrine, Right and Left Side Halls.
Zhang-Sanfeng was very moved when he heard that Emperor Yongle built palaces and statue for him, so he led his students to protect these imperial envoys Zhang-Xin, Guo-Jin, Yu-Moxin, others officials and workers and soldiers who were building Wudang Mountain with their Wugong during the ten years' building period.
The monk, who had been defeated by Zhang-Sanfeng that year, was now very profound in Wugong after scores of years' being taught by tutors and cultivation, and named himself "Lighting Rabbi." Directed by the fugitive Emperor Jianwen, he came to Wudang Mountain to kill these imperial envoys Zhang-Xin, Guo-Jin, Yu-Moxin.
One afternoon, he took his students to Meeting Gods Temple and declared a fight with Zhang-Sanfeng. Heard that two martial art experts would have a fight, the students of Zhang and the builders on the construction fields all came to have a look. Zhang-Sanfeng, observing Taoist principle "Reducing disputes and spreading kindness", wanted to enlighten, instead of defeating Lighting Rabbi in the fight. So kept escaping from violent attacks of Lighting Rabbi, not did any harm to him. However, the monk thought that Zhang could not defeat him, so he was playing with him on purpose, so felt ashamed and became angry, making more violent attacks to Zhang. Suddenly he was stumbled by a large stone and almost fell down, so Zhang shouted, "Stop", both of them all stopped fighting.
Zhang-Sanfeng bowed down and carried up the large stone by one hand, "The stone was stumbling you, so I should put it away!" With the words, he gave a violent palm to the stone with the other hand, which made the stone break into pieces. Lighting Rabbi understood at once, Zhang-Sanfeng was not inferior to him, but giving a mercy to him, for he could break the large stone into pieces, let down his body of blood and fresh. Ashamed, he went away with his students.
Zhang-Sanfeng reduced disputes, destroyed the evils and spread kindness, which protected the safety if these officials, workers and soldiers, making the project carry on smoothly. The nine palaces and nine temples devised by Zhang-Sanfeng were finished soon. The former Wudang County Court was also changed into Yuxu Palace, the leader of the nine palaces.
Emperor Yongle was very concerning the building of Wudang mountain, especially the foundry of Golden Hall and statue of Emperor Zhenwu. He examined the blueprints till he felt satisfied. He also ordered to found these in Beijing and ordered an important official He-Jun to carry these to Wudang Mountain. It was said that statue had the body of Zhenwu and the face of Emperor Yongle. The face of Emperor Zhenwu statue in Golden Hall was really as same as Emperor Yongle's picture. There involved many blood and toil of the workers and the intention of Emperor Yongle in the founding of the statue.
According to rules of the Ming Dynasty, all the brothers of Yongle should come to worship Wudang Mountain and offer perfumes when Golden Hall was set up. In order to offer convenience to these princes when they worship Wudang Mountain, Zhang-Sanfeng had devised thirty-six temples as their xanadus at the same time he devised nine palaces and nine temples.
These temples, sponsored by these princes, were different in size according to their offers. When these princes climbed on Golden Peak and saw Emperor Zhenwu, they were all surprised: Emperor Zhenwu was identical with Emperor Yongle. They thought to themselves, the reason for Emperor Zhenwu protected and helped Emperor Yongle was that Emperor Yongle was Emperor Zhenwu. Some of them, who had thought of rebelling against Emperor Yongle, hurried to bow before Emperor Zhenwu for mercy and then gave themselves to Emperor Yongle.
From then on, all the princes were obedient, without any other thought to rebel against Emperor Yongle. That Emperor Yongle was Emperor Zhenwu was wide spread in China, so all the country became obedient and peaceful. When stabilized the political situation, Emperor Yongle began to deal with the frontiers' troubles. After five years' work, he stabilized the frontiers and laid a steady foundation for fixing up Chinese territory.
